Excerpted from a biography of Robert Redford -- and therefore focused mostly on him -- this Vanity Fair story nontheless contains a number of interesting and enlightening anecdotes into how the screenwriting process of All the President's Men came together. I for one did not know that Goldman had been fired from the movie and only a small portion of his work remains, and had always credited him for creating what I still consider to be one of the masterpieces of dramatic movie exposition -- in other words, a movie with a lot of information that still holds your interest and never gets dry. JFK is another in this category. Enjoy. www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/features/2011/04/robert-redford-201104?currentPage=all
