As you may have noticed (probably not) I have not been on the boards as much lately. I have started a new side project to help Screenwriters! Well...I hope it helps. When we write a script, we usually only compete with a blank page. This usually allows us to slack off and procrastinate. But what if you were writing against someone else? What if you were racing with that writer to see who would finish first? Welcome to www.script-race.comFor now, races will begin each month. You will compete with whoever else signs up to race. It will keep you focused and determined to keep writing your script, even on those days when you could be doing something else, like working. Ha! The first race will not be until January, so if you have a few minutes, I would like your feedback on the website. While it is live it has not been advertised very much. Still working out a few kinks. All suggestions will be considered. I am still working on a process to show the progress during the race, but I think I have that figured out. Thanks!...and like Mike says, "Keep Writing!"...but do it FASTER!

I like the idea! I would definitely sign up when I'm ready. As for the site, it works My only complaint is really nitpicky and is that there isn't more space between pages with long content like the Birth page and the footer and how the scrollbar works, but let's be real, it's not an issue and not something worth spending time on. Just mentioning it to show how good everthing else is Good luck with it and I'm looking forward to participating! L

Sounds good to me. Nothing like a bit of an incentive to get you going. I'll sign up!

LF- Thank you for the input. I am still trying to tweak the site here and there. I agree that some of the pages are a bit small. I will see if I can enlarge them somehow.
It was a lot of fun and a ton of inspiration when I did it with Angelo. He was so inspired he wrote TWO feature scripts in less than 60 days.
The key is to be prepared. Have your outline prepared, have your treatment ready, and then write your ass off!
