This just came to me yesterday. I love the potential.
Genre: Western/Adventure
"After her beloved train engine is stolen as part of an elaborate gold heist, a gutsy engineer relentlessly pursues the outlaws to clear her name and get her train back."
THE SEARCHERS + Keaton's THE GENERAL

I haven't watched any of these movies, I believe, and I'm having a hard time seeing it pulled off, unless it turns into a comedy at some point. Especially if the protagonist is going to confess her love to the train.

pzeidman,
Not sure what the stakes are here. Granted, the engineer lost her train (??) but why does she have to clear her name? Second, what year are we in? Your logline should give the reader a clear sense of time and place. That said, I would suggest something along the lines of:
Implicated in an elaborate gold heist during the Civil War, a gutsy Confederate train engineer pursues the outlaws across Union lines to clear her name and retrieve her train.
Keep Writing!

mscherer-
That's really good. I had something a little different in mind. How about:
"Implicated in an elaborate gold heist just after the Civil War, a gutsy engineer pursues the outlaws throughout the Old West to clear her name and retrieve her train."
Or is "Old West" too generic?
Thanks.
