Sorry to be the bad guy here, but: www.imdb.com/title/tt0120889/"What Dreams May Come". A man (Williams) dies, and fights from heaven to hell to find his wife, who commited suicide, and got trapped in hell. It just sounds very similar to me. You're looking at the journey from Hell to Heaven (and not from Heaven to Hell), but when I read the logline, the movie jumped instantly into my head. I figured I'd just inform you.

Yeah I know. I realized after I wrote it. This log line might be the case of being too similar, but different. But I actually wanted to focus my story on a different set of themes than that movie. Like part of What dreams focuses on remembering great moments life on their journey to hell as a way of getting over the fear of the afterlife. Fuck that. I want to showcase the inherant unfairness of the afterlife by showcasing a suicider trying to make his way into heaven. Something not allowed. It's also a kind of breakdown against a man's life prinsciples. A man who devoted his life to the lord commits one sin of passion and love, not even against another of god's creatures, and is sentenced to eternal damnation. And he has to fight his situation in the afterlife he worked his life at not falling into.
