I wrote this short as a pilot episode for a possible web series. Then I just had to shoot it. I think I was inspired by some of the other script and shoot posts I saw here recently. So please take a look at the script and I will also post a link where you can see the short. Just to get ahead of some of the screenplay notes, the formatting has some large areas of space in places where I was going to insert stills of the tarot cards so you could follow the images as well but those inserts were never made. The cards got finished just in time to shoot so I never went back and inserted them into the screenplay. Besides, I can't say I have ever seen a script with visual cues before anyways. Well maybe an animated script but I digress... This is "Bursting Bubbles", the pilot episode of a possible web series called "Katarina Knows". www.mediafire.com/?97ks708l9vo4g7v

and here is a link to download a quicktime of the short. It came out to about 6 minutes. We'll see how long it works... not sure if mediafire has a download limit... www.mediafire.com/?2lp6atf9e0lpd79Thanks for your time!

Richard, Read the script -- it was missing something . Watched the short -- great!! Funny stuff. Especially the Tarot cards -- very unique ;D. You were right about the cards. They would have definitely added to the script. Keep Writing and Shooting!

Thanks, Mike! Yeah, guess the script reads a bit different without the cards in it... I appreciate the feedback.

Haven't read the script yet but watched the short. I thought the production value was good and acting good particularly the fortune teller and wise guy friend. The cards were something different that worked but might not be so successful if used for every episode? Would def watch future installments, well done and good luck!!! BJL

Hey! Read the script, will watch the short afterwards. I was smilng all the time while reading it. It's funny, and proves how ignorant a man can be when he's blindly in love... I watched the short right after. Yeah, the "Tarot" cards were great. I was actually expecting to see some real Tarot cards, but the ones you made were just... Unique. The acting was solid. I think Katarina was overacting a bit, she should be a tad calmer. It's a comedy, I know, but I think a mysterious atmosphere in the reading room would create some suspence (only to be broken, afterwards, by the humour of the case). Just telling my opinion. Overall, the short was great, and I would definitely watch other episodes. And I agree with bjl, about the cards.

I enjoyed that! I haven't read the script either. The wise guy friend reminds me a little of Nathan Fillion. I pretty much echo bjl's comments, sooo, good luck with what's next!

Really enjoyed it. Envious of the production value. Love the interplay of music and facial expressions. As the others have said, I'd come back for more.
Didn't read the script. I don't need the blueprint to know when I'm inside a home I like.

Interesting one. The cards make the difference because the film was good but the script wasn't for some reason. I huess that's the advantage of being able to shoot what you write yourself! Can't quite see where you'd go with this one in terms of a series however but would be interested to see more.
