Wow, I did not expect to see this end up on here. Kind of surreal.
Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate the support. I worked my ass off on that screenplay.

EDIT: I also want to offer some empathetic support to any others who have entered competitions this year. It's always hard to write while you're waiting to hear if you've made it or not, but I think they can be valuable. Not just because you can win money and gain exposure, but it's a way to keep you working hard making your script the best it possibly can be. I wish everyone the best of luck!

Hey, I remember "Aether," that was one of the first drafts posted around here, if I recall correctly. Very good read.
Well done Garret York! Please do keep us informed of your progress!

I know I'm late to the game here, but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I remember the pages I read way back when and think it's a well-deserved placement! : )

Unfortunately, I did not make it to the semis. It's all good though because I hadn't really finished the final rewrite. I'm more confident with the new draft and I'm looking forward.
Also, sitting here waiting for Inception makes the night a lot better.

Napolyphonic, there's nothing unfortunate about your success. You did good, kid ; )
Now you draw upon that success and take it to the next level, and you will! And we'll all be able to say, I knew him back when......
You have so much to be proud of. Now onward!! : )

Thanks, oz.
This is what this entire board is good for. Lifting each other up. It's the most important thing we can do for each other and I hope everyone remembers that. With every criticism, we should include a seed of empowerment. Not to boost the ego, but to boost the heart.
