In my research on the path to screenplay development I have found the following break outs...
1) Logline 2) Synopsis 3) Treatment 4) Outline 5) Full Script
Is there any discussion here about the Screenplay Treatment?

I think sometimes it becomes too academic when you split up the parts. I guess it may help some writers make the steps toward getting a screenplay finished. If it works, it works. But when I read "Number 1: Do this, Number 2: Do this" I would rather just not write.
The way I look at this, it's chronological, but all these steps sort of blend together. I tend to keep all these things (except screenplay) in a single word document: title at top, logline, prospective character names, maybe a synopsis, then an outline.
The treatment stage I think is most important, and should come after an outline. It's the first point at which you really flesh out the story, without any consideration for script format or specific rules. It gives you a chance to write as much as you want, and go back and edit before putting it into screenplay form. Write in dialogue (or hint at the dialogue), write as if you are watching the movie in your head, moment by moment.
