Hey everyone, I'm a "newbie" here and I don't see a way to subscribe to posts and get notifications when someone responds to a subject. Am I missing something?

I know what you mean, bmacwire. I have that option on IMBD, and it's really cool. I did some snooping, and from what I saw on posts and in my user profile, didn't see e-mail notifications as an option so I don't think you can do that here on this message board, BUT I could be wrong. Maybe Mike Scherer, Jeff Messerman, or Scott Myers will see your post, and weigh in with a final ruling. But until then you can always makes the GITS Club Message Board one of your favorite sites ;D and check in from time-to-time...

I also have not found this option, but I would love it if we could do it.

hey Team,
Checked the Administrator's functions and could not find a way to allow email notifications -- maybe that comes with the 'play-for-pay' version ;D
Of course, Jeff may have the ultimate power....

Well there is a fairly easy solution but it would involve the pain of migrating your site. I could create a Joomla website (Open Source tool that is free) with member forums that have this feature in a few hours. The cost of web hosting is so cheap these days that it is almost a non-factor. If anyone has interest in this please let me know. I would do it Pro Bono.

I have checked with the Founding Fathers of this message board and there is an interest in possibly following up with this.
bmacwire, I will contact you via PM to discuss further.

Yes, you can bookmark.
Select Profile, then select Bookmarks. Adjust your bookmark preference (receive email, etc.).
Thereafter, when you're reading a thread and want to bookmark it, click in the bottom left of the page on Bookmark. Note: It's not easy to see; it's next to Search and Remove.
To see which threads you've bookmarked, select Profile, select Bookmarks.

Does bookmarking work for anybody?
I double-checked my step-by-step explanation, and it doesn't seem like I left off a step.

I was wondering this myself. I'd love the ability to subscribe to make it easier to follow and participate in conversations.

It hasn't worked for me either. I will check it and try again.
