The 2010 NCAA College Basketball Tournament starts TODAY. And I'm sooo jacked! I think this tournament is AWESOME! Hands down the best sporting event in America. Every year there's great games -- and CBS's coverage bounces around nicely to bring their viewers the most exciting action. I find it very easy to get swept up into the fervor and passion of games in this tournament -- even when I don't have a pre-disposed preference to one of the teams. I just pick one, and I'm like hooked into the sports drama. Maybe sports are just guys equivalent of women's soap operas? Hmmm... Any other NCAA College Basketball fans out there? Did you fill out your bracket? I do every year. This year I picked Kentucky to win it all. My University of Washington Huskies are in it too this year... I've got my fingers crossed... but I don't expect much from them this year. The U.W.'s radio play-by-play announcer, Bob Rondeau, however, always makes the games fun to listen to. He does U.W.'s college football and basketball games. One of the best out there, if you asked me; a good radio announcer goes a long way to winning a region's fan support. - E.C. I am apparently the only other sports addict here. I dont fill out a bracket every year anymore, but I try to watch as many games as possible and follow the rest on Sportscenter.
I travelled from CA to NC to watch the first 2 rounds of the tournament a few years ago and had a Blast. Watching Duke and North Carolina play at home was amazing.
The Huskie game was awesome. Being in CA I root for the Pac 10 teams and was on the edge of my seat for that one. Good luck in the next round

E.C., Love the tourny -- just couldn't bring myself to respond because my team went 4 -28 this year (7-24 last year) so my heart just ain't in it this year. Watch all the B-ball you want as long as you, Keep Writing!

If my team's out of it, I just pick another. The NCAA College Basketball Tournament is just too fun not to watch. U.W. Huskies and Gonzaga advanced to the 2nd round... You can always root for them. Afterall, isn't that part of the freedom that our forefathers fought for? I have been doing SOME writing while the tournament's on. But it is addicative... 12 hours and counting to bear claw... - E.C. Henry from Bonney Lake, WA

I was actually going to start a new trend to get my mind off of my team LOSING! Yep, it was the Jayhawks... So, instead of writing, I will continue to wallow in self-pity wondering how my team was such a stronghold to win it all this year. I wonder if it will only come every 20 years.
My bracket actually has died completely. I had KU and Nova in the championship game. I guess I should leaving the picks to the experts. I normally don't suck this bad at picking my brackets but I just lost it all:) I am sure I will come up dead last in my office pool. L

ldw4686, I had Kentucky vs. Kansas in the Championship Game with Kentucky winning it all. You're not going to get all you picks right... But now that Kansas is out of it, why not become a U.W. Husky fan? They're quite fun to watch this year...

I am actually Buckeye fan, so thank god all those brackets were wrong. The tourney is opening up in our favor.
I would love a Washington/Cal vs Ohio St championship game. I'll have to look and see if that is possible
