April is fast approaching, and I was just wondering... Is anyone doing Script Frenzy? It's a challenge to write 100 pages of dramatic writing (TV, play, film, graphic novel...) during the month of April. I participated in National Novel Writing Month in November, and it was SO much fun- and I actually completed a novel. It may not be the greatest, but the challenge got me to actually complete something, which is something I have a bit of a problem with. I was wondering if anyone was participating, and what your usernames are? Mine's ilovedots. Here's the site: www.scriptfrenzy.org/

I was thinking about it, but I final final exams in April so it seems like it won't be doable.

This thing doesn't sound like a good way to make in-roads into the indusry. Hence, I'm focusing on other things.

Hi! I'll be doing this as well. You can find me at matt35mm. It'll be good to have some buddies.
My current logline (but none of the script is written yet, so who knows how much will change) is:
After learning that their soul-searching son has dropped out of college to backpack around the U.S., a married couple start a long-brewing fight that leads to divorce, while their lesbian daughter struggles to create harmony in the family before her wedding.
Tentative title: Three Marriages

Um... so I accidentally started writing my script. And finished the first draft. And it's not even April. Shit. Now I have to think of something new to write. Ahhh!

Haha, whoops!
You make writing a script sound as easy as slipping on a banana peel.

LOL. I have all these other scripts I've been "writing seriously" for months and getting completely stuck on, so I decided to just close my eyes and write what I saw, the way I did before I knew anything about screenwriting. Of course, now I have to figure out what it's all about and start making it into something other people will actually understand. I have a feeling it's gonna take a while... But at least the first draft is done! Unlike the "serious" scripts.
