A non-profit "Wikipedia" like organization dedicated to recreating loglines from past produced films, while systematically encouraging writers/producers to contribute the "official" loglines for any newly produced films.
This database will serve at least two important purposes:
- as a learning resource for writers
- as a tool for statisticians to much more clearly categorize and analyze the types of new movies being produced in America and around the world.
Just a random thought. Any merit?

kurtismae, Cool idea A database of loglines would be of use to a screenwriter as it would allow them to see what has been done and to mix and match loglines to come up with something unique offering Hollyweird what they clamor for: Similar But Different. The only fly in the ointment is this: don't think you will get the studios and ProdCos to participate -- what's in it for them? One man's opinion - mileage may vary - batteries not included.

Mike,
Same thing. Utilizing keyword technology the studios will be able to granularly analyze which types of movies are making what levels of money.
