Spring is coming, so who else is just itching to pay $45 for a "Sorry, but" letter come this summer? If you don't say, "I am," we know you're lying.

Actually, I was hoping to just drop thirty before the end of the month. There are worse ways to gamble away your money.

True, I guess you can get in early if you trust yourself not to spend the month of April pissed at yourself when you've already submitted but suddenly discovered another layer to your story that needs honing.

I'm entering, first time for me. I'm in England though and I don't know how they feel about brit scripts.

Jonathan, I can't trust myself not to do anything, let alone regret my choices. I kind of feel if it can't be ready in 3 weeks then it can't be ready in 7. More than 3 weeks means major work and I won't feel comfortable with a major rewrite unless I sit on it for a month or two. So, I'll resubmit next year. Two entries for $60 and a year's time or one at $45. Still, I would hate coming up with something good in April and I'm not happy with it now...see what I mean about choices?

Wouldn't it be cool if the GITS Club helped some writer win a Nicholl Fellowship? Too cool. Hopefully, the allure of winning will get more GITS Club writers to post their work. You WANT to be told what's wrong with your script now, so that when it's submitted later, your script is more bullet-proof, and your odds of winning improve. Brass ring. Can you imagine sashaying across a moon-lit dance floor with Susannah Grant? Cheek-to-cheek, maybe even sneak a peck kiss on her cheek when she's not looking. Aye-yi-aye, I gotta enter this thing -- I wanna dance with Susannah Grant! Who cares if I'm white, and don't got no rhythm -- that's why God invented steel-toed boots! Susannah Grant ROCKS! Living proof not all screenwriters are a bunch of ugly toads. - E.C. Henry from Bonney Lake, WA
