Do you have any special items that draw dray you, or make it easier for you to slip into your writing area?
E.C. does...
It's called a Keurig single-cup coffee brewer.
LOVE it! Got turned on to Keurig at a job I had for an electrical contractor. Then this Christmas I got one as a present. Recently acquired an attachment which allows me to brew cups of Seattle's Best Coffee (yes, that's its brand name) French Roast coffee. One cup of that at my writing station, and I'm ready to write.
But how about you; do you have anything that serves as a draw back to your writing station? Something you look forward to, which you've incorporated into your writing regimen. A talisman of sorts, which eases your transition into the process of writing.

E.C. You already know this, but.... Gotta have that cup of Joe and a Bear Caw at the local Panera Bread -- Saturday and Sunday mornings. I work all week for those two days. Can't write anywhere else -- tried at home, just can't do it. Well, I can, but it's just not the same ;D Do they have Paneras in L.A. Hope they do so I can, Keep Writing! ps -- have a BIG Keurig at home -- love it! Just too convenient.

Mike, the Panera franchise made it to my neck of the woods, southeastern WI, about five years ago. If I wrote there regularly, my wife would have to sell my scripts posthumously for me... I'd be driven six feet under by their incredible bakery! I have a bakery addiction like no other. Doughnuts talk to me, okay? Anyway, since my writing time is determined by my 5 kids, I don't really have the luxury of seeking out trinkets and baubles... if the laptop is open and the house is quiet, I go. Of course, if there's a talking doughnut nearby, all the better...

A 3KW fan heater, my iPod Classic and a door that locks. (I have 4 kids by the way.)
