Hi folks,
Since the size of attachments is so terribly limited here on the board, the best way to give readers access to your work will be from an offsite file sharing provider. I'm a big fan of SENDSPACE (www.sendspace.com) but you can use whoever you like. Just upload your file on the hosting site and provide us the link to your work within the message thread.
If anyone knows of a message board (preferably free!) site that allows larger attachments, please let me know!
Thanks!
Jeff

Hi Jeff, Read the post on GITS. Your site looks very writer friendly. Thinking about posting up ACT I of a script I wrote entittled, " Revenge of the Fat Chicks" for some feedback. Been YEARS since I did any work on it. Curious to see how fellow writers will react to it. Currently penning a dark sci-fi script. May have some research questions. Good job so far. Rock on!! - E.C. I was wondering whether it makes sense to have a child board for loglines and/or outlines. (I find writing either to be painful).
But perhaps that's getting too granular?

I'll probably dump my outlines into "Plotting"

I do like the idea of a separate area for loglines.

Your wishes are my commands. Expect a "LOGLINE" category before the night is out!
Oh, and of course, welcome aboard, all of you!

Thanks for creating this. Decent peer reviews are tough to get.

My thanks, too, to you, Jeff. Having done a lot of online instruction in the past (with Blackboard), this layout looks clean and simple - the way I like it!

I spend far too much time on a couple of other forums which do absolutely nothing for me, so now I'm happy to know that there's a forum out there that I can beneficially use my time on! Thanks.

Hey Jeff! Thanks for starting this up. I'm thinking this will definitely be the go-to place for screenwriting Q&A. Great job!

Jeff, Have you made any progress on how interested parties can post their scripts for review? I noticed on yours, you provided a link... Anyway, you MIGHT wanna post as to how that's going to work. Have a great day, I'll check back in later tonight. E.C. Henry from Bonney Lake, WA

Hi E.C.,
The maximum size of attachment allowed here on the board is a measly 1 mb. Probably not gonna' cut it for most scripts. Partials, maybe, but not a full script.
That's why I recommend using something like SENDSPACE (www.sendspace.com). It's a free sign up, all you have to do is log in and upload your file to their site. They will generate a link to your work (presumably a .pdf, but anything is fine, like .doc or even a Final Draft file, if you like (wouldn't recommend that, though!)) and then all you have to do is post the link for us to read.
Until I find a free message board site that will allow larger attachments, I'm afraid that's the only advice I can give.
If you are having problems, my friend, feel free to email me your file and I'd certainly be happy to put it up for you and post a link.
Whatever works for ya'!
Talk to you soon!
Jeff

Thanks for the message board - i have taken about 6 months off of writing and been struggling to get back into the groove - definitely think this site will get me motivated to write again! Can't wait to start something up - I do want to know if this is just for features, or is TV welcome? I gravitate towards TV spec writing but want to start a feature - just don't know where to start!
