I went rock climbing today. Got some climbs done I haven't done before. Got a good workout.
I'm on page 90 of the latest screenplay and it's looking really good. Getting into the catharsis and resolution and should be done in a couple days. Still stuck on page 45 of another spec. I also have act one and three of my next project laid out. I reread my Nicholl's rejection notice and saw "PS: Your script was among the top 15% of all entries," which I hadn't seen before.
I just had a big bowl of cinnamon toast crunch.
Maybe I'm just in a good mood, but I want to say I love this board and I love all of you who take your time to contribute, comment, rant, and rave. I know I'm not the most present person on this board, but I love this community we're building and cannot wait for one or more of us to "make it."
Good luck to all of you with your writing. Keep doing it, not because you have to prove something, but because you just have to do it. Because it's a part of you. Because when you aren't writing, you get that weird anxiety that you should be. Do it because you love it.
Goodnight and good luck.

I had All-Bran and Frosted Mini-Wheats mixed. So I feel hyper and internally clean.
But I love this place too!! It is such a cool environment. I am actually excited when someone sells their work, or when they produce it and put it on the screen. I have learned so much from the people here, and I hope I have been able to help others, even with my limited knowledge.
And let me pass on some advice from my mother, "Get down from there!"
P.S. You have some excellent photographs on your website. Very cool stuff.

Haha. Get down from there. That's what my girlfriend says.
Thanks for the compliment, Brain. I appreciate it.

Thanks for starting this thread -G. It's a lonely existence, we all know. So, yeah, it's important to remember the good stuff, too.
I just made myself cry with a scene I wrote on a script I've been struggling with. The finesse was tough and it was imperative that it feel like the end of the world to this woman and I must have nailed it because I it made me weep! You gotta love a good page when you nail it ; )
Going to keep at it but remembered seeing this thread when I popped in this morning and wanted to keep adding to it because it made me smile!
And *AMEN* to that horrible feeling when you haven't written in weeks. Like you need a word enema!
Okay, ONWARD!!

oz, Well done on the scene. I've had similar experiences with scene writing and it's those little highs that make writing amazing. Keep doing THAT! Maybe shock therapy could help with the writer's block. Haven't tried it myself, but I know there are some very respectable doctors who've used it on patients -G
