And not in that way.
A web series I've been working to get off the ground is actually going to do just that -- get off the ground!
We've just cast our first of three leads. We've got our equipment lined up. We have our shooting schedule in place. The first two episodes are written - the rest are plotted out.
It's going to happen! And THAT is why I'm excited.
Just had to get that off my chest.

Wow, congrats! And here's wishing you the best for the next phases of production. Are you able to share anything further about it with us? Are release dates already scheduled? Looking forward to seeing it, whatever and wherever it is. :-)

You are so doing the right thing, my friend. You're not writing scripts and sitting on your hands, praying for a miracle. You're MAKING IT HAPPEN. More of us should be following suit.
You know you have a built-in fan base here at le club already. Keep us up to date with developments and I'll be sure to ring the bells around these parts for ya'!

Thank you all for the kind words. Even though I'm not on this board as much as I'd like, I do consider this a kind of home away from...home? re: the project...what I can tell you...hmmm... - The name of the project is 'Casters'.
- It's utilizing some of the things I love about Aaron Sorkin's work.
Each episode will be 20 - 24 minutes long and divided up in to two parts -- part one will air 2nd week of the month, 2nd part will air final week of the month.
- 6 episodes for the 1st season (possibly our only season, but we'll cross that bridge...)
- It will have a story arc and will not just be wacky gag after wacky gag
- The main theme song quite possibly will be provided by a local NYC talent which is pretty exciting
- This will be a very original web series for the people to watch...and listen to...
That's about it for now ;D Thanks again and I'll keep you updated

Congrats Echo! And let me share in the excitement by saying that I too have a web series shooting. (in the next 2 weeks!) 9 episodes totaling 54 pages shooting all at once like an hour long movie. But wow, 20 minute episodes, you could get that on TV! Good luck and looking forward to seeing more!

Hey L.F.,
Please don't forget to post or send me the link to your web series once it's up and running. We have 300 plus members here so that's 300 plus people potentially putting their eyes on your work. And, ultimately, more eyes is what it's all about, right?

Will do Jeff! And yes, eyes is a real big part of it I figure we'll be ready for our run in early October. I'll also post the scripts along with the episode and link to a blog or something where my team and I will try to talk about the production aspects of making the web series. I figure someone might be able to learn from our experiences and improve on our techniques.

I didn't want to start a new thread when this title is so fitting... we just WRAPPED our major days! I still have a pickup shot and two quickies to shoot, but...we are for all purposes, WRAPPED!

Since Aug 7 several things happened: We decided that two of the three leads didn’t work. Our DP dropped out. I done got depressed. But then something amazing happened. I watched about three discs worth of The West Wing and realized I’m gonna die soon (soon is an exaggeration, but somewhere within the ballpark of the next 50-60 years) and I gotta do stuff with my life. So the producer and I got back together on this – held auditions, had callbacks, found a brand new DP who has an amazing series he’s putting together (shout out to Rodney Smith and www.dominionseries.com ) and we’re about to start filming on Nov 13 and 14. Our website is up (and although very barebones, at least it’s something) and I am CRAZY motivated now. Last weekend I sat down to write 5 pages of the third episode. I wrote 17. And then the next night, I had a first draft completed. And the more I read it, the more I see there are very little changes to be made. So just to stay in touch with the board, that was my update. We will have some new pics up in the next couple of weeks and a promo by the end of November. First episode should be up in December. www.casterstheshow.comSometimes we get obstacles thrown at us to redirect us on the right path.
